Summary

Trial trenching at this site in 1996 revealed no evidence for archaeologically signficant features or deposits. A single worked flint was the only find recovered.

Evaluation of site of proposed development at Thetford Rifle Range.
The four trenches excavated revealed no archaeologically significant features or deposits.
A single prehistoric worked flint was recovered.
The thin topsoil showed no evidence of former ploughing.
