January 1997. Metal detecting.
A shield shaped medieval horse harness pendant was recovered. There is no trace of gilding or decoration surviving. There is a hole punched through the tip of the shield, a suspension hinge is missing in the attachment plate, and there is a copper alloy hinge bar.
