Full Description
Three Holes Bridge.
1940 type 28a anti-tank emplacement for two pdr anti-tank gun. Exceptionally well preserved.
Survey No. I2-3.
Second World War spigot mortar gun emplacement up-ended and relocated on side in corner of field. Probably originally sited to command approaches to the bridge.
Survey No. I2-2 (S1).

May 2026. HER Enhancement: Forestry Commission Project K.
The anti-tank emplacement (see above) is visible as an extant structure on aerial photographs from 2025 (S2).
The mapping for the site has been updated from a monument point to a monument polygon representing the position of the site as recorded on the Ordnance Survey Master Map and as visible on S2. The location of the previous monument point (centred at TF 5062 0026) likely represented location of the spigot mortar.
