July 2003. NMP.
This grid reference places the anti-tank blocks 40m to the west of the railway line, not on it. It is not clear where the information from this record actually derived from, and whether the structures were actually seen in the field. It is interesting to note that there is no sign of the anti-tank blocks on 1961 Meridian Airmaps aerial photographs, although there is a pillbox (NHER 38296) standing to the north-east, which has not been previously recorded.
The anti-tank blocks may have been part of a crossing barrier, guarded by the pillbox, which might in turn suggest that they were originally within the vicinity of TF 6273 1886.
M. Brennand (NMP), 14 July 2003.
