Map

Type 22 pillbox with brick shuttering facing north-north-east.
Lying tilted in sand dunes. Date 1940.
Information from [1]. See record form (S1) in file.
D. Walker (NLA) July 1996.

April 2006.
This is probably the pillbox recorded as NHER 41426. As NHER 41426 is located about 260m to the northeast, it is probable that the grid references recorded in (S1)/1992 are incorrect (it is very difficult to accurately locate sites on this stretch of coastline without use of Global Positioning Satellites).
See assessment report (S2) for further details.
D. Robertson (NLA), 10 April 2006.

NHER 41426 is the correct location for this structure and not NHER 32396.
No change to description.
E. Rose (NLA), 2 October 2006.
