October 2002. Norfolk NMP.
World War Two pillbox and possible spigot mortar emplacement visible on RAF aerial photographs from 1946 (S1). The type 24 pillbox is visible at TG 0710 4375, although it looks like it may have camouflaged. To the immediate south of this is a possible small circular structure at TG 0710 4374, measuring 1.5m in diameter. This structure is not clear at all from the air due to its small size, however it is possible that it may be the remains of a spigot mortar emplacement.
S. Massey (NMP), 21 March 2003.
