Machine gun emplacement dug into hill with excellent command of road, village and coast.

World War Two pillbox and gun emplacement visible on RAF aerial photographs from 1950 (S1). It is a type 20 pillbox located at TG 0733 4323 and measuring 5m square. It is not visible on aerial photographs earlier than 1950, presumably due to camouflaging of the site or vegetation cover.
