A Second World War pillbox (see above) can be seen as a structure on 1940s aerial photographs (S1-S2). The pillbox most likely still survives as an extant structure. The pillbox is situated in an area of woodland on recent (2020) aerial photographs (S3) and is partially seen in between the tree cover. The pillbox is also recorded on the Ordnance Survey mastermap. The pillbox appears to be hexagonal in from on the aerial photographs and may have related to a Type 22 pillbox. The monument polygon has been updated to the extent of the feature as seen on the 1940s aerial photographs (S1).
