May 2020. National Mapping Programme (NMP) Data Clean-Up.
The Second World War Type 26 pillbox described above was visible as a rectangular structure on aerial photographs. It was mapped as part of the Norfolk Coastal Zone NMP project in 2004-2005, but was omitted from the recording. The specific photographs it was mapped from are not known. Despite vegetation cover, the outline of the pillbox is visible on recent aerial photographs (S1), suggesting that the building is still extant. It is also depicted on modern Ordnance Survey MasterMap mapping.
