Full Description
Second World War pill box of unknown type stood either north or south of junction. Now destroyed. (Just south of former tank barrier). Marked on (S1). [1]
Survey No. M1-10.
See (S2) in file.
D. Walker (NLA), July 1996.
April 2010. Norfolk NMP.
The pillbox described above could not be securely identified at this location, rather it was possible to identify a circular emergency water tank (NHER 53539), a rectangular structure which may have been a camouflaged pillbox or an above ground air raid shelter, and a row of anti tank cubes in the vicinity (NHER 53544), as well as a possible ARP post just over 100m to the west (NHER 53590). The anti tank defence (NHER 51893) described above is visible approximately 210m to the north.
E. Bales (NMP), April 2010.
