Full Description
Common 1940 type 22 pill box stands in hedge to east of wood overlooking marshes.
Survey No. H2-13.
See record form in file by source [1].
D.Walker (NLA) July 1996.
November 2006. Norfolk NMP.
The World War Two Type 22 pillbox described above is not clear enough on any of the consulted aerial photographs to merit mapping by the NMP. Something is visible here on aerial photographs taken in 1946 (S1), but the structure is generally obscured by vegetation on later photographs. Its outline is depicted by modern Ordnance Survey 1:2500 mapping at TG 3356 2644.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 8 November 2006.
