Summary

Metal detecting at this location between 1997 and 2024 recovered Neolithic/Bronze Age worked flints; a post-medieval coin; a post-medieval jetton and a range of other, Middle/Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include Middle/Late Saxon hooked tags and strap end; a Late Saxon pendant; a Late Saxon to post-medieval lead spindle whorl; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval horse-harness pendant; medieval/post-medieval purse bar fragments a cauldron fragment and skillet and a post-medieval harness mount, scabbard chape, silver thimble, lead cloth seal and lead weight.
