Common 1940 type 22c pill box. Most shuttering gone.
Survey No. R3-5.

February 1946. RAF aerial photograph shows faint traces of circular structure and possible roadways to south-east of pill box - which is still shown on Ordance Survey maps at north end of hedge.
October 1998. Visit confirmed site as that of a searchlight battery.
