January 1999. Building Survey.
Examined following fire damage.
Report disputes dating saying house is late 17th century and 18th century panelling etc is an insertion, and again altered in about 1900.
Important garden.
See report (S2) for details. The results of this survey are also summarised in (S3).
E. Rose (NLA), 2 March 1999. Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 8 April 2015.

Survey report (S2) describes the garden, which has an ornamental brick wall built up against the wall of the adjoining property. The wall probably dates to the 18th century and a central niche with a stone pedestal for a piece of sculpture. Although this is a simple structure it is a rare survival in the garden of a smaller town house.
For more details see (S2).
