Full Description
March 1997. Visited.
A typical decoy, having a central pond, and four pipes, one at each corner.
The pond is waterfilled. The pipes retain some water, but are partially blocked with undergrowth and dead wood. No hoops or netting remain. Thought to have been constructed in about 1850.
H.Paterson (A&E) 24 March 1997.

November 2018. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
A duck decoy is seen as an earthwork on aerial photographs. The decoy is mapped in detailed on the modern Ordnance Survey Map and therefore has not been mapped as part of this survey. The decoy can be seen clearly when the feature is exposed during tree removal in the 1950s (S2).
J.Powell (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 16th November 2018.
