Summary

Fieldwalking in 1996 recovered a Roman pottery sherd at this location. Subsequent metal-detecting between 2010 and 2025 recovered Roman and Late Saxon pottery sherds and a number of metal objects, including a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch; a medieval buckle and dagger pommel; medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragments and a post-medieval buckle, crotal bell and silver button or cuff link element.

1996. Casual fieldwalking find. Cakes Lane Field. [1].
One very worn body sherd, probably Roman greyware.
