Full Description
June-July 1997. Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey and Watching Brief.
Initial field survey of pipe route followed by watching brief during topsoil stripping and subsequent pipe laying.
113 struck flints recovered, including 6 scrapers and 1 blade, dated to Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age.
A single pit filled with burnt flint was the only archaeologically significant feature observed during the watching brief.
