Map evidence and documentary research has confirmed the existence of two parks in the parish, that noted here having within it the former medieval manor.
Key sources are [1] Blomefield, [2] Tithe map (NRO 532) and [3] OS maps, 2500 and 10,000. [2] indicates the position of the Great Oak at TM 1050 8706. For the Great Oak, see NHER 50392.
