Summary

Metal detecting in April 1997 recovered a well-made lead circular seal matrix of 13th or 14th century date with a six-pointed star in the centre with crescent moon. The legend reads 'Seal of Robert [the] Fisher'.

Well made lead circular seal matrix (thickness 4mm, diameter 27mm) with tapering projection on stud at rear (8mm long), behind and slightly within the 'S.R' of the legend. Six-pointed star in centre with crescent moon. 13th/14th century. Legend: S'ROB'IPIST ORIS = Seal of Robert [the] Fisher.
