1996/1997. Metal detecting find.
Gilded copper alloy hollow openwork bead or similar. Spherical with plain band around circumference. On each side 8 tiny bosses set within running arches set on cable moulded collars. A thick bronze wire or rod passes through the whole and is held rigid by 'sleeves' projecting from the centre of the collar. 16th century.
