Summary

Metal detecting in 1997 and a systematic survey of part of this field in 2013/2014 recovered prehistoric worked flints; Roman coins, a number of medieval and post-medieval metal objects and a fragment of possible copper alloy casting waste. Objects of Early Saxon date were also reported found during illegal metal-detecting at this location in 1997.

Survey of proposed route of Dudgeon Offshore Windfarm onshore cable (Field 151).
Finds recovered at this location included:
2 prehistoric retouched flint flakes, 1 end scraper and 3 flakes.
1 ?Early Neolithic flint fabricator.
1 Late Neolithic or later flint side scraper.
1 post-medieval button.
1 undatable fragment of possible copper alloy casting waste and 1 piece of lead scrap.
