Full Description
August 1997. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey and Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of proposed quarry extension.
Field survey recovered Neolithic/Bronze Age flints, medieval building material and various post-medieval finds.
Trenching revealed no archaeologically significant features or deposits.
Lack of Iron Age and Roman finds particularly notable.
