Summary

An exceptionally ornate 15th or 16th century painted wooden beam was found in a barn. The beam is highly carved on one side.

Found reused in a barn to the northwest of Necton village, in or near the former park.
Beam. Exceptionally ornate with painting. Highly carved on one side, less ornate on the other. Had moulded underside but top seems to have supported studwork. Was supported on arched braces originally.
Date 15th/16th century? ?Purpose.
