Metal detecting recovered a Roman coin, an Early Saxon small-long brooch, an Early Saxon gilded bronze fragment with a pendant loop and a post medieval lead seal.

Roman coin. See list in file.
Early Saxon small-long brooch. Head badly damaged but carries at least one line of punched circles. Flattened bow with chamfered corners. Moulded foot. Traces of iron pin and catchplate. 5th/7th century.
Early Saxon gilded bronze fragment with pendant loop. Probably Early Saxon. Note joins with piece found June 1997 elsewhere.
Post medieval. Part of 16th century lead clothier's/weaver's/searcher's seal inscribed:
