January-February 2025. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey.
Field survey on proposed route of onshore cable for Norfolk Vanguard and Boreas Offshore Wind Farms (Field 148).
No significant concentrations of material were identified. Finds recovered included:
2 prehistoric flint flakes and 1 blade-like flake.
1 medieval pottery sherd.
2 ?medieval pottery sherd.
4 undated copper alloy unidentified objects, 3 lead weights, 3 unidentified objects and 8 pieces of lead waste.
1 medieval coin.
1 medieval/post-medieval coin, 1 jetton, a button, ?mount, ?casket mount and 2 copper alloy vessel fragments.
2 post-medieval coins, 2 buttons and a lead carbine ball.
2 post-medieval/modern buttons (1 silver), a chain link and ?drop handle.
