About 1990/91.Metal detecting.
Gold gem ring, with very narrow round section hoop widening slightly at shoulders. Bezel set with a small cabochan-polished blue stone in a simple collet. Rings of this type were made and worn (by men and women) from the 12th to the 14th centuries. This might be early in the series, say 12th/13th century.
