Summary

Metal detecting in 1997 recovered a medieval lead ampulla. The front was decorated with an arrow while the back showed a scallop shell and the letter R.

Heavy lead ampulla. Close ribbed scallop shell motif on back. Front shows a broad arrow running longitudinally the length of the ampulla. Above the shell motif is possibly the letter R +?
