Full Description
1997. Metal detector finds. [1]
A small dolphin brooch with remains of pin bar lug on reverse. Foot and wings missing; bow undecorated.
A mystery object! Corroded but apparently complete; rectangular plate with rectangular loop. Loop has two stubby projections. Looks like an Roman button and loop fastener but says Ralph Jackson of the British Museum, but it is not.
A hexagonal section conical bronze object. Flange at wider end with square-section iron ?nail protruding. Is it a long spikey handle from furniture? (A. Rogerson, NLA). Perhaps Late medieval.
See (S1).
W. Milligan (NCM), 7 April 1997.

See (S1).
A. Rogerson (NLA), 29 March 2000.
