Summary

Metal detecting at this location between 1996 and 2025 recovered Roman pottery sherds; a Roman flue tile fragment; Roman and medieval coins and a range of other, Late Bronze Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Bronze Age copper alloy awl; a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch; Roman brooches, a furniture or box fitting and copper alloy pin; a Late Saxon bell; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a potentially medieval copper alloy unidentified decorated object and a post-medieval pin and harness boss.
