Summary

Metal detecting in this area during 1995 recovered sherds of medieval pottery, a 14th century brooch, a piece of post medieval pottery and an undated lead weight or spindle whorl.

Lead weight or spindle whorl, unknown date.
Lead collar, unknown date.
Identified by V. Fryer (NCM).
Medieval sherds: Nine body, six rims, one strap handle. Three green glazed Grimston (two handles).
Late medieval transitional sherd.
Very odd sherd with lead pellet ?glazed on both sides.
Post medieval sherd - dark green glaze in and out.
