Summary

Metal detecting here in 1997 recovered a medieval seal matirx. The motif was a shield with two saltires accompanied by an inscription, although the meaning of this inscription was not determined.

Medieval bronze seal matrix. Sub circular head with conical back and part of trefoil terminal. Shield with two saltires within sexfoil. Damaged legend of three words or parts [illeg.] CINIORI BONIS. (S1). Meaning uncertain.
