Summary

Metal-detecting at this location between 1997 and 2023 recovered Late Iron Age, Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; medieval to post-medieval jettons; post-medieval tokens and a range of other, Bronze Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include an Early/Middle Bronze Age copper alloy miniature developed flat axe; a Roman brooch; a possible Roman mirror fragment; an Early Saxon brooch fragment; a Late Saxon/medieval lead spindle whorl; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; medieval mounts, thimbles, a harness pendant, casket key, scabbard chape, lead ampulla fragments, lead weight and silver mount; a medieval/post-medieval purse frame fragment, candle holder and copper alloy vessel fragments and a post-medieval thimble, crotal bell, military figurine pipe tamper, harness mount and copper alloy seal matrix.

Bronze vessel rim, with external sooting. 30m east of west boundary and 50m south of north boundary. Late medieval/early post medieval cauldron.
No significant finds in rest of field.

1 Roman coin.
2 medieval coins, 3 jettons, buckles, mounts (bearing an 'IhC' and 'E' design respectively), a sword or dagger chape, casket key, pendent loop hanger, thimble, lead ampulla fragments and lead weight.
12 medieval/post-medieval jettons and a copper alloy vessel handle.
7 post-medieval coins, 4 tokens, buckles, buttons, a thimble, crotal bell, harness mount and copper alloy seal matrix.

1 medieval/post-medieval jetton and a purse frame fragment.
3 post-medieval coins, 3 jetton, 4 tokens, a buckle, strap mount, hooked dress fastener and military figurine pipe tamper.
