Piece of bronze strip, bent over and secured by single bronze rivet and trimmed so that the fold is narrower than the open end. Very green metal, nicely polished. Although the strip is fairly thick, it is probably a (wooden) vessel repair clip. Folded length 23mm, width 6-9mm. Probable thickness of vessel wall 5mm. Early Anglo Saxon dating to the 5th/7th century.

Early post medieval purse bar. It has a circular section which narrows slightly in the centre, and is decorated all over with fine grooves in geometric patterns. No inlay is visible in the grooves. One end is broken off square and the other end in thickened with an extra moulding on the top. Some grooved decoration on the terminal too, but the bar is corroded and it is hard to see detail. No flanges, so the bar is of LMMC type B and dates to the early 16th century.
