Full Description
Set in form of roads.
(S1) dates as 17th century, of flint with brick dressings. Aligned north to south, one storey and attic. Central stack with two hexagonal shafts. This description confirmed.
In addition there is an east rear wall stack which (S1) calls 18th century but is probably 19th. (S1) says the south gable was rebuilt 1885 but in fact the whole south bay is a later addition, shown by fossil quoins and change of build, the east fossil quoins are of reused stonework, as are the northeast quoins. (S1) also refers to cutoff springings of a cruck truss; (S2) renders this as a so called upper cruck, as one might expect, and states that it must therefore date to 1600 to 20, but (S2) puts the house in the wrong place.
