Full Description
Timber framed house, apparently of three cell pattern with original upper floor and off centre stack, but little is visible. There seems to have been a service stair giving access to the solar and hall chamber under a queenpost roof, with access from the main stair to the parlour chamber alone, until rebuilding of the parlour block about 1700. In the 19th century structural problems caused brick strengthening to be added.
See report (S1) in file.
E. Rose (NLA), 21 December 2000.
March 2006.
Pair of cottages, now one dwelling. Thatched roof. One and a half storey façade with irregular fenestration.
Interior. Some timber framing exposed.
For further information see the listed description.
D. Robertson (NLA), 30 March 2006.
