Summary

A post medieval timber framed house, with rendered and brick walls. It was probably built around 1600 with a three cell plan, an upper floor and an off centre chimney stack. At a later date it was divided into two cottages, before being reinstated as one property. In the 19th century structural problems led to the additions of brick strengthening.

Map

Timber framed house, apparently of three cell pattern with original upper floor and off centre stack, but little is visible. There seems to have been a service stair giving access to the solar and hall chamber under a queenpost roof, with access from the main stair to the parlour chamber alone, until rebuilding of the parlour block about 1700. In the 19th century structural problems caused brick strengthening to be added.
