Summary

This 16th or 17th century house has been much modernised. It is L shaped in plan with two storeys and an attic and has stepping gables and a with large chimney stack comprising four moulded flues over end gables. The west doorway to west has a 16th century moulded door case and door and 16th century arched doorframe in a modern porch. The chimneys are Elizabethan or Tudor in date.

The Close.
House, isolated to north of church between School and Mill Roads.
16th/17th century, much modernised. Stepping gables. L shaped plan with large chimney stack comprising four moulded flues over end gables. two storeys and attic. Doorway to west not in original position, has 16th century moulded doorcase and door and 16th century arched doorframe in modern porch.

March 1998. House very briefly seen.
The extravagant chimneys etc. are all Victorian to Tudor work but patches of the original brickwork appear here and there.
