Map

February 1998. Metal detecting find. [1].
Very worn medieval copper alloy annular brooch, pin missing. Pin constriction, notch for pin rest. Hoop section is a narrow rectangle, set vertically. At right angles to line of pin opposed projections are looped and probably carried animal heads. However, these would have not been visible if the above mentioned notch is for a pin rest, and would have faced downwards.
A. Rogerson (NLA), 4 April 1998.
