Summary

Metal-detecting between 1998 and 2018 recovered a Neolithic/Bronze Age and Early Bronze Age flint scrapers; a ?Roman pottery sherd; Roman, Middle Saxon and medieval coins; post-medieval jettons and a range of other Late Iron Age/Roman to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch; Roman finger rings and dividers; Early Saxon brooches and bridle cheek-piece; Late Saxon strap-ends; a Late Saxon/medieval stirrup terminal; medieval buckles, a brooch, lead spindle whorl and lead seal; a medieval/post-medieval button and lead weight and a post-medieval mount decorated with the motif of a fish.
