Summary

In 1998 a copper alloy seal matrix was discovered. It was made around 1300 and bears the legend 'I give greetings to the messenger'.

1998. Surface find
Pointed oval (29mm by 18mm) seal matrix, copper alloy. Longitudinal ridge ending in pierced lug on reverse. Bird surrounded by pointed oval. Around this a legend + NVNCIO. SALVTEM [I GIVE] greetings to the messenger. About 1300. See (S1).
