Summary

This cemetery is laid out in oval on land formerly fields. The buildings were designed by Edward Boardman and opened in 1882, and the single storey chapel (NHER 65487) was divided by a central arch into a Nonconformist chapel to the west and a Church of England chapel to the right. These original buildings and the arch, lodge, and walls all survive. The cemetery is planted with dense Scots pine, Irish yew, box and horse chestnut.
