Summary

Observation of excavations in advance of the erection of new electricity pylons found no archaeological features but did recover three prehistoric worked flints, fragments of Neolithic pottery dated to 3900 to 2900 BC including a decorated rim and one piece of 16th to 17th century pottery.

Monitoring of groundworks for replacement of electricity pylon towers (PPA 46).
Finds recovered at this location included:
3 prehistoric worked flints.
3 Early Neolithic pottery sherds.
1 post-medieval pottery sherd.
