24th February 1998. Watching Brief.
Observation of groundworks for new village hall on a site to the west of Wood Norton church. The topsoil showed no signs of disturbance other than by agriculture. No finds were observed other than modern (20th century) agricultural artefacts. The natural subsoil showed no sign of disturbance of any kind, and no features were recorded.
