Summary

This early 17th century flint and brick house has a 19th century extension. It stands two storeys high and has a thatched roof. Inside, there is an unusual and ornate closet on the first floor. A 17th century barn alongside the house was partly rebuilt in the 19th century. Other farm buildings were built at the same time.

"Early 17th century flint and brick house, thatched. 19th century extension. Lobby entrance plan. Façade of three bays, two storeys. Central door with date of 1960 referring to restoration. Casements of that date partly in original and reduced openings; clay lump infill at eaves. Left-hand quoins alternate brick and flint."

December 2003.
Examination of the house showed that this was of only two cells, but is of high status in its detailing, having a closet with ornate door and window at first floor, and a remarkable chamfered angle of the building. Roof is 19th century, as are extensions.
Adjacent barn is part 17th, part 19th century, and there is a 19th century farmyard.
