Full Description
1998 up to July. Metal detecting find.
In small field with various modern metal finds.
Park of cheekpiece of an Late Saxon bridle, in the shape of an animal head with arched neck (with oldish break), two projecting ears and a trefoil-ended nose. Made from flat copper alloy plate, it has a border of punched dots. Anglo-Scandinavian. 11th century.
