Full Description
1997. Casual find while while grubbing out fence.
Medieval, very sweet buckle plate made from cast bronze, with a sort of fleur de lis terminal (with separate bronze rivet), a narrow part and then a rectangular wider part with second rivet, this time with a tiny bronze rove. From the rectangular part comes two folded over projections to hold pin bar. Decorated with geometric patterns of punched dots.
