Summary

Fieldwalking in 1997 in advance of the Bacton to Great Yarmouth pipeline recovered prehistoric flints and medieval to post medieval pottery. Metal-detecting in 2017 recovered a medieval coin.

January-April 1997. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey.
Field survey on proposed route of Bacton to Great Yarmouth pipeline (Field/Location RDX 29.3).
Thirteen flints including two scrapers, a borer, flakes and retouched flakes were recovered along with one medieval and four post medieval pottery sherds. These finds represent the southern portion of a general spread of flints which includes RDX 29.2 (NHER 34015) and RDX 29.1 (NHER 34014) to the north.
