Summary

A geophysical survey along the proposed route of a pipeline in 1998 noted various undated features. A small number of prehistoric worked flints were recovered during a subsequent watching brief, including a Mesolithic or Early Neolithic blade core fragment.

Magnetometry survey on route of proposed pipeline (Site 12).
Very slight anomalies were detected, perhaps indicating minor features of some sort.

April-July 1999. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of groundworks associated with construction of Brisley to Bushy Common Pipeline (Plot 20).
No archaeologically significant features were identified. A small number of unstratified finds were recovered including a Mesolithic or Early Neolithic two-platform flint blade core and a small number of Neolithic or Bronze Age flints (a scraper and two flakes).
