Summary

This pair of red brick villas were built in 1849 by W. Austin in Italianite style. The buildings have two storeys, six bays and a central giant pilaster. The first floors have Venetian windows at the centre. No. 12 has an arched, cast iron conservatory.

Pair of villas 1849 by W. Austin. Red brick, gault brick details, artificial stone windows, slate roofs. Italianite syle. Two storeys, six bays. Central giant pilaster. Each house arranged with triple sash at centre of elevation, then double sash then door. First floor has Venetian window at centre. Gault brick string course and eaves cornice rising in centre. Shaped gables, internal stacks. North and south walls have central recessed bay. Conservatory on No. 12, arched, cast iron. Central rear extension. Interior with original stairs and doors.
