Summary

Metal-detecting in 1998-1999 and again before March 2012 recovered Roman and medieval coins. The medieval coins included a hoard of eleven Edward I long cross pennies dating to between AD1280 and AD1314. They were recovered along with a fragment of medieval purse bar and are thought to represent a buried hoard or lost purse.
