Summary

Gostelyns is a former orphanage dating to the mid 16th century, altered in the 17th and 18th centuries and 1948. This timber-framed building is of brick and flint infill, and is two storeys high with an attic. The north gable has an ovolo moulded 17th century window on the first floor, and the other windows are thought to date to the 18th century and later. The 16th century range is jettied.

Listed as former orphanage.
Mid 16th century, altered 17th, 18th centuries and 1948.
Timber frame, brick and flint infill, two storeys and attic. Rebuilt ridge stack.
North gable has ovolo moulded 17th century window at first floor and attic; other windows 18th century and later. 16th century range is jettied and towards the south end of the north west side. Six light hollow mullioned window with leaded glass below jetty. Internal fireplaces rebuilt but with original bressumers. Bridging beams plain in lounge, but ovolo moulded and stooped in dining room. Studwork visible at first floor. 18th century roof.
